Project Overview
This project involved the comprehensive design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a complete turnkey firefighting and safety system for SD-WICUS, located within the Savar EPZ. The objective was to establish a high-performance fire safety infrastructure and an uninterrupted water supply network to ensure robust protection for critical manufacturing operations, facility assets, and personnel.
Execution Work
We, Energyshield Engineering Ltd., successfully completed the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of the comprehensive Fire Fighting and Detection Solutions (Turnkey System) at SD-WICUS, including the following systems:
- Fire Detection & Alarm System: Deployment of an advanced, early-warning fire alarm network equipped with intelligent detectors and centralized control panels for rapid hazard identification.
- Fire Protection System: Implementation of high-capacity firefighting infrastructure (including integrated ring mains and distribution networks) tailored to meet strict industrial safety compliance.
- Fire Pump Set: Installation of a heavy-duty, highly reliable central fire pump room setup (including Main, Standby, and Jockey pumps) engineered to maintain critical system pressure and automatic water supply during emergencies.
- Standards Followed during execution of the works: NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code), NFPA 20 (Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection), NFPA 13/14 (Water-Based Suppression), NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code), and BNBC standards.
